Hopefully David and Hiram Bullock have reunited in the after world for a heavenly jam session. RIP Mr. Sanborn. Thanks for some of the greatest live music memories of my lifetime.

Bass player is funky.

Sadly it was not until he died that I heard a snippet of "Chicago Song" playing somewhere and was like OH MY GOD CHICAGO.MOD WAS DAVID SANBORN ALL ALONG! Impossible to explain what I am talking about if you are unfamiliar with the Demoscene but suffice to say he was clearly very influential to the computer music scene that shaped my life in the 1990s.

David was my saxophone idol. I love this song. Tried to play it as a teenager. Couldn't master it. But, The Dream, was easier to play. He was one of the most eloquent jazz musicians to have impacted my life. Thanks, David. Sweet dream.
